Appendix D: Alternative Data Model Installation Methods - Extracting the Expere Data Model scripts to install manually from the command line

  1. Use the Expere Data Model Install wizard to extract the Data Model scripts.
  2. Launch the Expere Data Model Install utility from the Expere Application CD.
    • Windows Install File: ExpereDataModel_Install.exe.
    • Linux Install File: ExpereDataModel_Install.bin.
  3. The Expere Data Model Installation screen displays installation instructions. Read the instructions carefully.
  4. Click Next to display the Choose Log and Source Files Location screen.
  5. In the Where would you like the log files and source files placed field, enter the desired location to install the files.
  6. Click Next to display the Install Location Summary screen. This screen allows the user to review the install folder before installing the source files to the chosen location.
  7. Click Install to install the Expere Data Model source files.
    Note: The installation process takes a few minutes. When complete, the installation will advance to the Choose Automated or Manual Install screen.
  8. Once extracted, select Install manually from a command line.
  9. Click Next to display the Manual Expere Data Model Extract Finished screen. Review the location of the Expere Data Model SQL scripts.
